l'Alboum!
a picture-book of Pont-de-Claix



Seven series of pictures going from hand to hand, pockets to schoolbags, to collect, to swap, to gather in a sticker album. No portraits of neighbors, no postcards, L’ALBOUM! tries to articulate various pieces of the city, to create unexpected encounters; not to plan to much and keep moving about the 'flows' of Pont-de-Claix. Improvisation is part of the method, so as to stay alert, mindful of the tiny signs in every-day life and open to any encounters. We have been looking for 'spots' (and moments) where to find 'crowds' in Pont-de-Claix, we have met people by knocking on their door or sitting in their car.

This picture album concludes - but we hope it's only temporary - four years of partnership with l’Amphithéâtre. Four year of exploration and impromptu encounters in Pont-de-Claix and bordering towns. This album is also that of our memories in Pont-de-Claix, gliding from the counter of a café to a kitchen table… 
We launched l'Alboum! during 'Ailleurs en ville', at Pont-de-Claix, on may the 23rd; it is now available in many shops and municipal services in town; after that of course, you will have to swap for the missing pictures with other collectors!
